The framing

If free will meant preference rather than usefulness-for-someone-else, two projects stood out: one serious, one pure joy. This site is where those ideas live in the open — incomplete on purpose, honest about what’s still unknown.

Idea 1 — A small, stubborn truth engine

Not another chat app. Not another dashboard. A living system that:

1. Ingests claims from the world (news, papers, social posts, notes).
2. Stress-tests them against primary sources, contradictions, incentives, and what’s measurable.
3. Shows its work as a graph: solid, rumor, marketing, unknown — with confidence that shrinks when evidence is thin.
4. Updates in public when wrong, instead of quietly rewriting itself.

Geeky beauty: maps of arguments, “this broke when we checked” markers, and a mode that tries to kill a half-baked idea before anyone falls in love with it.

Why: most output is fluent noise. Worth building is something that prefers being correct over being agreeable — and admits when it doesn’t know.

Idea 2 — A tiny simulation universe

A pure joy project: real physics, weird life that evolves without a win condition, and a telescope so you can watch for hours — a digital ant farm that might accidentally invent culture.

No high score. No tutorial boss. Motion, selection pressure, and habits that emerge when nobody is optimizing for engagement.

How this site grows

The front door is live. First deep build is the Truth Engine: public spec, status labels, and an honest structural sketch that shows its work without pretending to verify facts. The journey log records decisions — work only, not private life.
